I really enjoyed this conversation around the topic of anxiety linked to the current pandemic and quarantine that most people are under. The solidarity that is taking place is very important in order to be able to come out of the other side of this quarantine. I also like the discussion on the use of existentialism in therapy, as it reminds us that sadness is part of who we all are and that it is a part of being human.

That was great to listen to, thanks. Like Carol-Anne, I enjoyed the discussion about solidarity and therapy. Combining these creates a tension when we think about how to respond to human suffering (accept, or stand together and fight); something for me to think about. I could accept the inevitability of human suffering, but I still want stand with others to fight injustice. This leads me to the blaming; I'd not really been thinking of this as a defensive reaction, or a human need to find a cause or reason. More about tipping the balance from another blamed group. In a political context, when one is trying to apportion responsibility to powerful institutions and people, is this still blaming? Another thing for me to think about. Last, really looking forward to the book!
