graduate outcome survey
The HESA Graduate Outcome Survey is a survey carried out about 18 months following your graduation. It aims to measure the performance of taught degree programmes (like UWE Philosophy) with respect to their success in facilitating positive future employment and training opportunities for graduates. To put it simply - how many of you are in graduate level employment, businesses, or post-graduate education or training of some kind?
This is now the main measure of performance for taught degree programmes in the UK. So it is extremely important for us. This performance measure makes the major contribution to the Teaching Excellence Framework categorisation and so is, effectively, the primary measure for our performance as teachers.
You will be approached in September 2019. You will be contacted through the last contact details that you provided to the University. Please look out for this and up. It is extremely important to us that you respond – and complete the questionnaire. This makes a very real and important difference for us and for our future.
We have prepared a leaflet (see below) with a bunch of information about the survey. Have a look and do let us know if something is still unclear.

If you are an alumnus/a, please get in touch and follow us via our alumni facebook page where we advertise all our initiatives. If you have any queries please contact our alumni tutor Francesco Tava. Another thing you should do is signing up to Alumni Connect, which is UWE new online site linking students and alumni around the world. You can find industry experts, professional contacts, local connections and old friends. You can offer to be a mentor or browse for a mentor yourself.

Alumni Social and Career Networking Event
6 april 2019, the station kitchen
The first UWE Philosophy event explicitly addressed to former graduates took place on Saturday, 6 April 2019. We believe it was a real success as it started the process of forging an ongoing sense of community between alumni from different cohorts.
