    ALISON ASSITER

    ​Alison writes on political philosophy, feminist thought, Enlightenment philosophy, and in particular on the philosophies of Kant and Kierkegaard. Her latest book Kierkegaard, Metaphysics and Political Theory: Unfinished Selves has been described by reviewers as 'a thoughtful and original work' and 'a remarkable book'. Her other books include Enlightened Women, Althusser and Feminism, and Revisiting Universalism. She also has an active interest in the philosophy of education. Alison is co-editor of the new series Reframing the Boundaries: Thinking the Political with Rowman and Littlefield International.
    Alison is a Fellow of the RSA and Academician of the Academy of the Social Sciences.
